These sandy shores have become a trademark to the Caribbean islands, with every island playing host to a whole catalogue of beaches. Antigua has one for every day of the year and is nicknamed – the Land of 365 Beaches! All islands offer an abundance of water activities and it is a good chance for the single traveller to try scuba diving or snorkelling in these crystal-clear waters. Purchase souvenirs on the beach or taste a fresh coconut if you prefer!
If you and your fellow single travellers fancy tearing yourself away from the sunbeds for a day, you’ll discover the huge amount of history the Caribbean has to offer. Take Antigua, for example. The island has everything from spectacular beaches to its rich history and weekly street parties. There is a vibrant, spirited culture which remains strong today, whether it be cricket, rum, food or the carnival. Elsewhere, over in St. Lucia, you can take a walk in the lush rainforests and learn about the colonisation and pirate of François Le Clerc.
