Africa is well known for its deserts and savannahs, with the famous Sahara Desert covering nearly a third of Africa, spanning 9.2 million kilometres squared. Africa is also one of the best places to go hot air ballooning! The striking terrain in Egypt makes it easy to spot the Valley of the Kings. The Middle East, also known for its vast deserts, is also home to some of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, full of inspirational architecture and history.
