Our Valentine’s weekend break is based at the four-star Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa in Chatham, centrally located in the beautiful county of Kent. Join us for a weekend that includes dinners, discos, dancing and a day out at Leeds Castle – once the private property of six of England’s medieval queens.
Welcome to Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa, where we can check-in from 3:00 pm. Following a welcome meeting hosted by our accompanying Tour Leader, we enjoy dinner in the hotel restaurant, followed by a disco to dance the night away.
Sitting in 500 acres of parkland, Leeds Castle has lived many lives; Norman stronghold, home of medieval queens, the palace used by Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon through to an early 20th century retreat attracting the influential and famous. We’ll hear more about the latter when we enjoy a private ‘Tea and Talk’ session. Our ‘High Society Secrets’ talk will be accompanied by afternoon tea. We will also enjoy a multimedia tour of the castle with plenty of time to explore the castle and grounds at our own pace.
Later we enjoy the hotel’s leisure facilities before enjoying dinner in the hotel restaurant and then a second night of disco and dancing.
If you are not in a hurry to leave, you may like to take advantage of the hotel’s spa facilities.
Located in the charming town of Chatham, this spa hotel in Kent is the perfect base for guests wishing to lose themselves in scenic surroundings.
Facilities include the Squires Bar & Restaurant as well as access to our spa, well-equipped gym and health club.
Rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, trouser press or ironing facility, complimentary organic Ishga toiletries, TV with streaming services, 24-hour room service, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer.
Bridgewood Manor Spa & Hotel is close to both Rochester & Chatham train stations, as well as having great links to M2, M20 & M25 motorways.
Come dressed to impress in your favourite party outfits! We recommend comfy clothes and shoes, plus layers and a warm coat for our day at Leeds Castle.
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately £10. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
