What you'll be doing

DAY 1

Arrive in Salisbury

Arriving at our hotel in Salisbury at our leisure, we’ll enjoy a welcome drink before having dinner together at the hotel as a group.

DAY 2

New Forest

After breakfast, we will meet our guide and venture into the New Forest! We will begin by exploring the scenic National Park, home to wild deer, ponies, and rare birds. Then we visit Lyndhurst, the ‘capital’ of the New Forest, for local shopping and dining, as well as the New Forest Heritage Centre’s museum, gallery, and café.

We’ll wrap up with a visit to St. Michael and All Angels Church, featuring stunning stained glass, and pay tribute at the grave of Alice Liddell, the inspiration behind Alice in Wonderland. A delightful mix of nature, history, and charm awaits!

DAY 3

Salisbury Guided Walking Tour

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning, before meeting our guide for a walking tour of the historic city of Salisbury.

Admire the medieval wool merchant houses, including the Hall of John Halle, stroll through the lively Market Place, and see the Guildhall, built in 1795. Discover medieval gems like the Haunch of Venison pub, famous for its mummified hand, and visit St. Thomas’ Church to view the vivid 1475 Doom Painting. We’ll continue, following the River Avon to see the old corn mill and Bishop’s Mill pub, then walk along the High Street to the Old George Inn, a historic stop for notable visitors. We’ll also see the stunning architecture of Cathedral Close, including Mompesson House, Arundells, the Salisbury Museum and the Salisbury Cathedral.

The rest of the day is at your leisure, to carry on exploring, or head back to relax at the hotel.

DAY 4

Depart

After a final breakfast as a group, we depart Salisbury at our leisure.
