About this trip:

Discover the cultural treasures of Aberdeen, Scotland before continuing to Lerwick in the Shetland Islands and rounding to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Visit colourful Belfast, Liverpool, Cobh, and St. Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly. Each port promises a unique blend of cultural exploration and scenic beauty where you can create lasting memories along picturesque coastlines.

NB: there are only 89 sole use cabins on board Ambience. Early booking is vital to avoid disappointment, or the date cancelled because we cannot obtain the cabins.

DAY 1

London Tilbury, UK – Depart 17:00

Embark MV Ambience and enjoy our first night on board with a wonderful meal and dazzling entertainment.

Note: In the event of adverse weather/sea conditions that prevent the ship from calling at one of the scheduled ports, alternative arrangements will be made where possible.

DAY 2

At Sea

Sea days are the perfect opportunity to explore the ship, relax and unwind and spend quality time with those around you. Whether you pamper yourself in the Green Sea Spa, experience all the outstanding cuisine onboard, enjoy our amazing entertainment in the Palladium and other venues, attend a class or talk, there’s something for everyone.

Aberdeen, Scotland | Arrives: 0800 | Departs: 1700

Discover the vibrant city of Aberdeen, Scotland, known for its historic architecture, picturesque coastline, and rich cultural heritage. Explore the stunning Aberdeen Maritime Museum, stroll along beautiful Aberdeen Beach, and indulge in traditional Scottish cuisine at local pubs and restaurants.

Lerwick, Shetland Isles | Arrives: 0800 | Departs: 1700 (Tender Port)

Lerwick, nestled in the Shetland Isles, whispers tales of Vikings and Scottish history. Take leisurely walks through its winding streets, learn the history of lighthouse-keeping at Bressay Lighthouse, and breathe in the salty North Atlantic breezes atop the Knab promontory.

Belfast, Northern Island | Arrives: 0800 | Departs: 1800

Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capital, reveals a vibrant cityscape interwoven with history. From the old docklands of the Titanic Quarter to dynamic neighbourhoods filled with mural art, Belfast offers endless opportunities to explore.

Liverpool | Arrives: 0800 | Departs: 1900

Vibrant Liverpool is steeped in maritime history and cultural vitality. Visit iconic sites like the Royal Albert Dock, walk in the footsteps of The Beatles on a Fab Four walking tour, and explore Liverpool’s historic waterfront along the River Mersey.

DAY 9

At Sea

On a sea day in particular, everywhere you turn there is something going on onboard Ambience. All activities are detailed in the ‘All Aboard’ programme which is left in the cabin each evening.

Quiz fans can join in both morning and pre-dinner trivia at the Purple Turtle pub on Deck 8, which also plays host to bingo and other game shows throughout the cruise. Crafters meanwhile can head to Kapoors on Deck 6 to make their own jewellery, key chains and more for a small cost.

Centre Court, which is not only home to the reception, shore excursion desk, future cruises, coffee shop, shopping outlets and the casino, is also a hub for activities.

DAY 10

Cobh, for Cork | Arrives: 0700 | Departs: 1800

Rows of candy-coloured houses are just one of the many reasons why Cobh, Ireland is such a charming place to visit. Fascinating historic sites and warm Irish hospitality are standout features of this picturesque port town.

DAY 11

St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly | Arrives: 0730 | Departs: 1900 (Tender Port)

Situated just off the Cornish coast, St. Mary’s is the largest and most populous of the Isles of Scilly. Over 30 miles of nature trails intersect the island, guiding wanderers to hidden coves and quiet beaches. The subtle beauty of this British archipelago is perfect for fun or reflection while surrounded by nature.

At Sea

As we make our way towards Tilbury, maybe treat yourself to a treatment in the spa or do a little onboard shopping.

London Tilbury, UK | 0800

This morning, we dock at London Tilbury. After a final breakfast on board, we disembark the Ambience for our onward journey home.

With an average 1,400-guest capacity and careful configuration, she offers both a feeling of spaciousness and freedom, whilst retaining that sense of intimacy and camaraderie we each crave; it’s whatever makes you comfortable.

 

Facilities Include

Entertainment-wise, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Let your hair down at the Observatory and bring out your finest ensembles for shows at The Palladium. Whether you like it shaken or stirred, there are numerous bars to whet your whistle.

Dining options are plentiful at their Buckingham restaurant or the Borough Market and the glorious Alfresco Grill. Wining and dining are more than fine at Saffron*, Sea & Grass* or our deluxe Chef’s Table*, where a speciality gastronomic experience is offered that’s not to be missed.

Ambience offers the Aces & Eights bridge and card room and the Ambassador Casino, the gym and Wellness Centre,  Brontë’s library, the shopping galleria, not to mention a swimming pool, two hot tubs and a large screen for outdoor movies.

Room Includes

A range of cabins span seven accommodation decks from the Aloe deck 4 up to the Ambassador deck 11. The cabins are more spacious to cater to today’s climate, averaging 17-18 square meters. All cabins are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities including a shower and ample storage space with room under the beds to store suitcases. Most of cabins can be converted to a double bed.

All cabins have a tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge,  hair dryer, personal safe, UK three pin electrical sockets and USB ports. There is also a flat screen TV (please note, TV reception is subject to weather conditions and the geographic location of the ship).
