Finland

Finland is best known for its spectacular winter landscapes and stunning scenery. However, Finland is able to offer us yet more, as in the sunny season, it plays host to a countrywide outpouring of good cheer, celebration and festivals, as the warmth and good weather is greeted with a great sense of optimism and hospitality.

The winter in Finland is a mecca for the more active among us, from every conceivable type of skiing, to dog sledding, snowmobiling and snow-shoeing. This time of the year also offers us the chance to catch a glimpse of the mystical and extraordinarily beautiful Aurora Borealis, or the Northern Lights.

Finland, however, is not only for those looking for dramatic scenery, the towns and cities too have much to offer, from warm and friendly welcomes to quirky museums, plus the chic and lively nightlife of cities such as Helsinki.
